Kian is a Founding Scientist and Director of Translational Research at Therna Biosciences, where he leads the development of therapeutic pipelines that translate AI-driven discovery into clinically validated biology.

He brings over a decade of experience in molecular biochemistry and cancer biology, with expertise in RNA biology, translational research, and therapeutic development. As an NRSA postdoctoral fellow in the Goodarzi Lab at the University of California, San Francisco, he specialized in systematic validation of RNA-based findings using in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models.

Kian earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Louisiana State University Health Science Center, where his research focused on high-throughput screening and combination therapies for triple-negative breast cancer.
